Quickstart Guide

Go from zero to your first outbound campaign in under 5 minutes.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • A business email address (Gmail, Outlook, or custom domain)
  • A list of leads to reach out to (even a small CSV works)
  • 5 minutes of uninterrupted time

Step 1: Create Your Account

Head to app.clozup.ai/sign-up and create your account. You can sign up with Google, Microsoft, or email/password. Clozup uses Clerk for authentication, so your credentials are handled securely with enterprise-grade encryption.

After signing up, you'll be prompted to create your organization. This is your workspace — it holds your team members, leads, campaigns, and settings. Enter your company name and you're in.

Free plan included

Every new account starts on the Free plan with 50 AI credits, 100 leads, and 1 active campaign. No credit card required.

Step 2: Import Your Leads

Navigate to Leads from the sidebar. Click the “Import CSV” button in the top-right corner. Upload a CSV file with at least the following columns:

  • email — Required. The lead's email address.
  • first_name — Recommended for personalization.
  • last_name — Recommended.
  • company — Recommended for enrichment.

Clozup will auto-detect and map your CSV columns. Review the mapping, resolve any conflicts, and click “Import”. Your leads will be available immediately — enrichment runs in the background.

Note

Lead enrichment uses AI credits. Each enrichment costs 1 credit and adds company info, social profiles, and scoring data. See Credit System for details.

Step 3: Create Your First Campaign

Go to Campaigns and click “New Campaign”. You'll see two options:

  • AI-Generated — Tell the AI your goal (e.g., “Book demos with CTOs at Series A startups”) and it generates the full campaign: subject lines, email copy, sequence steps, and scheduling.
  • Manual — Build your campaign step by step using the creation wizard.

For this quickstart, choose AI-Generated. Type a brief description of your ideal outcome, select the leads you imported in Step 2, and click “Generate Campaign”. The AI will create a multi-step email sequence with personalized templates.

Review the generated sequence. You can edit any step, change the timing between emails, or add additional channels (SMS, LinkedIn). When you're happy, click “Launch Campaign”.

Connect your email first

To send emails, you need to connect at least one email provider under Settings → Integrations. Clozup supports Gmail, Outlook, and custom SMTP. Without this, campaigns will be created but not sent.

Step 4: Monitor Results

Once your campaign is live, head to the Analytics dashboard to track opens, clicks, replies, and bounces in real time. The campaign detail page shows per-lead engagement so you can see who's interested.

When leads reply, their messages appear in your Smart Inbox. Positive replies are automatically flagged and can be converted to Deals with one click.
