Understand how AI credits work, what they cost, and how to manage your allocation.

Credits are the currency for AI-powered operations in Clozup. Every plan includes a monthly credit allocation, and different AI operations consume different amounts of credits. This system lets you control costs while having flexible access to powerful AI capabilities.

How Credits Work

Credits are simple to understand:

  1. Your plan includes a monthly credit allocation (50 to 10,000 depending on plan)
  2. Each AI operation consumes a specific number of credits
  3. Credits renew on your billing date
  4. Unused monthly credits do not roll over
  5. Top-up credits never expire and are consumed after monthly credits

Only AI operations use credits

Sending emails, managing deals, making calls, viewing analytics, and using the platform's core features do not consume credits. Only operations that use AI models (generation, enrichment, analysis, transcription) cost credits.

AI Model Tiers

Clozup's AI chat offers three model tiers. You choose the tier per-message, giving you control over the speed/quality/cost trade-off:

⚡ Fast (1 credit)

Uses lightweight models optimized for speed. Ideal for:

  • Data lookups (“How many leads do I have?”)
  • Simple questions (“When was my last deal closed?”)
  • Quick calculations and summaries

⚖️ Balanced (3 credits)

The default tier — good balance of quality and speed. Ideal for:

  • Email drafting and editing
  • Campaign generation
  • Pipeline analysis
  • Call summaries

🧠 Powerful (5 credits)

Uses the most capable models for complex reasoning. Ideal for:

  • Competitive analysis and strategy
  • Detailed reports and presentations
  • Complex multi-step reasoning
  • Creative content that requires nuance

Cost optimization

Start with Fast for every query. If the response isn't good enough, switch to Balanced. Use Powerful only for strategic work. Most users find Balanced handles 80% of their needs.

Monthly Allocation by Plan

PlanMonthly CreditsApproximate AI Chat Messages
Free50~17-50 messages
Starter (€49)500~167-500 messages
Pro (€99)2,000~667-2,000 messages
Enterprise (€200)10,000~3,333-10,000 messages

Credit Top-Ups

When you need more credits, purchase one-time top-ups from Settings → Billing → Credit Top-Ups:

PackagePricePer Credit
200 credits€10€0.050
500 credits€20€0.040
1,500 credits€50€0.033
5,000 credits€150€0.030

Top-up credits never expire and are only consumed after your monthly allocation is depleted. Enable Auto Top-Up to automatically purchase credits when your balance drops below a configurable threshold.

Monitoring Usage

Track your credit usage from multiple places:

  • AI Chat header — Shows remaining credits in the chat panel
  • Settings → Billing — Full usage dashboard with breakdown and trends
  • Low credit warnings — In-app banner when credits drop below 10% of allocation
  • Email notifications — Automated alert when credits reach 20%, 10%, and 0%

What happens at 0 credits

When credits are exhausted, AI-powered features pause: chat returns a “no credits” message, enrichment stops, campaign generation is disabled, and transcription queues up for when credits renew. All other features continue working normally.
