Unified Conversation View

The Smart Inbox organizes conversations by lead, not by channel. When you open a conversation, you see the complete communication history:

  • Outbound emails sent by your campaigns and sequences
  • Inbound replies from leads
  • SMS messages sent and received
  • Call logs with duration, recording links, and AI summaries
  • Notes added by your team

This threaded view means you never need to search across channels to understand a lead's engagement history. It's all in one place.

Inbox Layout

The inbox is split into two panels:

  • Conversation List (left) — Shows all active conversations sorted by most recent activity. Each row shows the lead's name, company, last message preview, timestamp, and unread indicator.
  • Conversation Detail (right) — Shows the full thread for the selected conversation. Includes a compose area at the bottom for quick replies.

Smart Prioritization

Not all conversations are equal. Clozup's AI automatically prioritizes conversations based on:

  • Sentiment — Positive replies are surfaced to the top with a green indicator
  • Lead Score — High-score leads get priority
  • Deal Value — Conversations linked to high-value deals are ranked higher
  • Response Urgency — Messages that have been waiting longest for a reply get boosted
  • Unread Status — Unread messages are always visible

Focus on what matters

Use the “Priority” filter to show only high-priority conversations. This is great for busy reps who want to focus on the hottest leads first and handle the rest later.

Filtering & Search

The inbox includes powerful filtering to help you find specific conversations:

  • Channel — Show only email, SMS, or calls
  • Status — Open, Snoozed, Archived, All
  • Owner — Filter by assigned team member
  • Campaign — Show only replies from a specific campaign
  • Sentiment — Positive, Negative, Neutral
  • Full-text search — Search across all message content

Quick Actions

From the inbox, you can take immediate action without navigating away:

  • Reply — Compose and send an email or SMS directly
  • Convert to Deal — Create a deal from a positive reply with one click
  • Schedule Call — Set up a call with the lead
  • Add Note — Add an internal note to the conversation
  • Snooze — Hide the conversation until a specified date/time
  • Archive — Move the conversation to the archive
  • Assign — Transfer the conversation to a teammate

AI-Powered Features

Smart Reply Suggestions

When viewing a lead's reply, Clozup's AI suggests contextual response options. Choose a suggestion and edit it to your tone, or use it as-is. Suggestions are based on the conversation history, the lead's profile, and your campaign goals.

Sentiment Badges

Each inbound message is automatically tagged with a sentiment badge — 🟢 Positive, 🟡 Neutral, or 🔴 Negative. This helps you quickly triage your inbox and prioritize positive responses.

Auto-Categorization

The AI categorizes replies into buckets: Interested, Not Interested, Out of Office, Unsubscribe Request, Question, and Referral. This categorization powers automations and helps with reporting.

Note

AI inbox features consume credits only for active analysis (sentiment, suggestions). Simply viewing conversations and replying does not use credits.

Team Collaboration

The Smart Inbox supports team workflows:

  • @mentions — Tag a teammate in a note to get their attention
  • Conversation Assignment — Transfer ownership of a conversation
  • Internal Notes — Leave private notes visible only to your team
  • Shared Views — Admins can view all conversations across the team

Individual reps see their own conversations by default. Managers and admins can switch to a team-wide view for coaching and oversight.

Email Deliverability

The inbox also surfaces deliverability information:

  • Bounce notifications — Hard bounces are flagged and the lead is auto-paused
  • Spam complaints — If a lead marks your email as spam, you're notified
  • Unsubscribe handling — Unsubscribe requests are automatically processed
