Clozup uses a feature-gating model where core sales functionality is available on all plans, but advanced AI features, team tools, and platform capabilities are progressively unlocked as you upgrade. This page provides a comprehensive mapping of every feature to its required plan.

How Feature Gating Works in the UI
When you encounter a gated feature, Clozup handles it gracefully:
- Visible but locked — Gated features appear in the UI with a lock icon and the required plan. You can see what the feature does, but can't use it.
- Upgrade prompts — Clicking a locked feature shows a brief description of the capability and a one-click upgrade button.
- Contextual FOMO — When viewing analytics, you may see blurred previews of insights available on higher plans, encouraging discovery.
Try before you buy
Some gated features include a “Preview” mode that shows sample data so you can evaluate the feature before upgrading. This is available for AI Insights, Competitive Intelligence, and Scheduled Reports.
Upgrading Mid-Cycle
When you upgrade mid-billing-cycle:
- New features activate immediately
- Credit allocation increases immediately (prorated for the remaining period)
- Team member limit increases immediately
- You're charged the prorated difference for the remaining billing period
